This is a mobile front/end rail vehicle access platform for performing service or maintenance to the front of the train, with access to the windscreen area and services on the front. It can be easily moved because of the lightweight construction.

The front/end access platform shown in the image is optimized for the SD70ACS locomotive, but can be configured for any other type of locomotive.
